Police Respond to Report of Man Wandering Neighborhood with Gun
Police say the man was experiencing a mental crisis Saturday and was taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation.

Fairfax County Police responded over the weekend to a call from a resident concerned after seeing a man wandering the neighborhood with a handgun, according to police.
Police say the incident took place Saturday afternoon at about 4:35 p.m. in the 1200 block of Morningside Lane, where officers were called for a report of a weapon complaint.
A resident said that a man had a handgun and was walking around the neighborhood, according to FCPD. The man was located and taken into custody under an Emergency Custody Order (ECO), police said. There were no injuries during the incident, according to police.

The adult male was transported to a local hospital for a mental evaluation, police said.
