Police Seek Man Who Allegedly Touched Teen Inappropriately

Police say unknown man was driving a white van, gave a 17-year old girl a ride last Thursday and allegedly touched her inappropriately.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Police are seeking help finding what they say is a suspicious person driving a white van, who picked up a teenager last Thursday on Quander Road (see map below) and allegedly touched her inappropriately, according to police.

Police say a 17-year old girl reported that she was walking along Quander Road last Thursday around 12:15 p.m. when a man drove up in the van and told her to get in and she complied, according to police.

The suspect made verbal advances toward the victim, according to police, and allegedly touched her inappropriately. She requested to be dropped off nearby and the suspect let her out of the van at the requested location, not far from where she was initially picked up, police said. The victim did not require medical attention.

Second report

A second report of a similar vehicle seen on Quander Road near Stokes Lane, was received on Monday, Feb. 22 shortly before 3 p.m., police said. There was no victim in that incident.

Police say the suspect was described as white or light-skinned Hispanic, in his late 20s, around 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with short, curly black hair. He was heavyset, clean shaven and wearing a white T-shirt, according to police.

Since the time of the initial report, patrol officers and detectives have increased their presence in the area, as they attempt to locate the van and its driver, police say.
