Police: Sterling Man Charged Wednesday in March Burglary
Homeowner shot suspect when he attempted to enter his home. Suspect, a convicted felon, was armed with a stun gun, police said.
Police arrested a 27-year-old Sterling man in connection with a burglary attempt on March 17 during which the suspect was shot by the homeowner in a neighborhood off of Telegraph Road just south of Alexandria.
Arnold Dussol was arrested in Leesburg on Wednesday, May 13 and charged with attempted burglary and possession of a stun weapon by a convicted felon.
He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and is being held without bond.

The burglary took place in March when police responded Tuesday morning, March 17, to a home in the 5700 block of Lenore Lane off of Telegraph Road, for a report of a burglary.
When they got there, officers found that the apparent homeowner had encountered a stranger attempting to enter his home. An altercation followed and the resident shot the stranger in the upper body with a handgun, according to police.

The injured man fled on foot toward Telegraph Road, police said.
He attempted to flag down a passing yellow school bus, which was occupied by a small number of students. A nearby officer responded to the location, the intersection of Lenore and Telegraph, and immediately apprehended the suspect. The suspect was transported to a hospital where his injuries were described as non-life-threatening. Officers recovered the suspect’s apparent weapon, a stun gun, police said.
The homeowner was identified as a 48-year-old man. He was not injured.
