Police: Suspect Nabbed While Trying to Steal Car
Officers responded to a call just before 5 a.m. Wednesday of a "vehicle tampering in progress" in Huntington.

Someone was awake Wednesday morning just before 5 a.m. in the Huntington area, saw someone allegedly trying to steal a car and contacted police.
Officers responded to the report of “vehicle tampering in progress.” After a brief pursuit on foot, police nabbed a suspect, Calvin D. Simmons, 27 of Washington, D.C., according to police.
Simmons was charged with two counts of destruction of property, larceny, trespassing, and possession of schedule III drugs.
