Robberies, Assaults Investigated In Mount Vernon Police District
Police responded to an assault with brass knuckles and other incidents in the Mount Vernon District this week.

MOUNT VERNON, VA — Fairfax County Police responded to a few assaults and robberies in the Mount Vernon Police District in early August, according to the latest crime report.
Two of the robberies happened on Aug. 1, and the third was reported on Aug. 3. An assault was reported on Aug. 1, and an assault with brass knuckles happened on Aug. 3.

- ASSAULT: 7300 block of Richmond Highway, Hybla Valley, 8/1/21, 7:14 p.m. A male and female got into an argument with two victims while at a bus stop. The woman assaulted the one victim while the man threatened the second victim with a knife. The man and woman ran away. No injuries were reported.
- ROBBERY: Cooper Road at Sacramento Drive, Mount Vernon, 8/1/21, 4:27 p.m. A man approached the victim on the sidewalk, assaulted him and took property. A short time later, officers located Mohamed Roble, 27, of Alexandria, and he was charged with robbery.
- ROBBERY: 2400 block of Fort Drive, Huntington, 8/1/21, 8:45 p.m. The victim got into a dispute with three men inside his home and asked them to leave. Two of the men returned to the victim’s home, displayed a knife and took property. No injuries were reported.
- MALICIOUS WOUNDING: 3100 block of Lockheed Boulevard, Groveton, 8/3/21, 1:45 a.m. After a dispute, a man approached the victim on the sidewalk and assaulted him with brass knuckles. Officers found Darnell Ulmer, 32, of Alexandria, and he was charged with malicious wounding.
- ROBBERY: Frye Road at Pole Road, Woodlawn, 8/3/21, 2:50 p.m. Two men approached the victim on the sidewalk, assaulted him and took his property. No injuries were reported.
