Found: Endangered Teen Missing From Springfield

A Springfield teen that went missing after not showing up to track practice has been found in New York City.

(Update: The missing teen has been found in New York City and is being reunited with his family.)

SPRINGFIELD, VA—A 16-year-old is missing from Springfield after not appearing at a sports practice. The teen has cognitive disabilities and is in need of medication.

Mustafa Ismail was last in the 6700 block of Metropolitan Center Drive (near Franconia-Springfield Metro) last Monday, according to police. He was walking to track practice at Lee High School and never made it. He did not return home afterward.

He is described as 5 feet 8, about 155 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and possibly a bit of facial hair. He might be wearing prescription eyeglasses. He is believed to be wearing blue shorts or blue jean pants, a gray shirt and Nike running shoes.
