Suspect Punches Woman, Steals Wallet at Bus Stop: Police

Incident took place Sunday while victim was waiting for a bus in the Huntington area, in the 6200 block of Richmond Highway, police said.

Fairfax County Police say that a woman waiting for a bus was punched and robbed of her wallet Sunday in the 6200 block of Richmond Highway in the Huntington area. (Police did not say which side of Richmond Highway.)

The victim was standing at a bus stop when an unknown man took her wallet from her hand, police said. The suspect punched the victim and ran off with her wallet and fled in an unknown vehicle, according to police. The victim did not require any medical attention. The crime was reported at 10:32 p.m., police said.

The suspect was described as a black man in his 30s, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, wearing a striped polo-style shirt, jeans and a white hat, police said.
