Swastikas Found Painted on Religious Building on Fort Hunt Road: Police

Police were called Thursday morning.

Fairfax County Police say that someone painted swastikas this week on a religious building in the area.

The suspect or suspects in the crime face charges of defacing the property with graffiti and committing a bias crime, according to police.

The incident took place Thursday in the 6500 block of Fort Hunt Road; police were called at about 9:12 a.m.

It was reported that numerous swastikas and writing were found on the doors of the building. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police. Since the 1930s, the swastika symbol has mostly been associated with the flag of Nazi Germany and the Nazi Party.
