Thieves Hold Up 7-Eleven Twice in Same Week: Police

Fairfax County police ask the public for information about the two robberies.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Robbers hit a 7-Eleven convenience store off Richmond Highway (Route 1) twice last week, and on Friday, the Fairfax County Police Department released security camera photos of the suspects.

In the first robbery at the 7-Eleven, at 2405 Fairhaven Ave., officers responded at about 2:26 a.m. on June 7 after an unidentified man stole cash from the store. The 7-Eleven is in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County, just north of Route 1's intersection with Kings Highway.

The suspect entered the store, approached an employee and flashed a knife, the police said. He then fled with two cash drawers taken from the register. The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as black, about 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, and with a heavier build.

The second robbery occurred at about the same time on Saturday, June 11, according to police. Two men entered the 7-Eleven, approached employees, implied they had a weapon, and demanded money.

The two suspects then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, the police said. The victims were not injured.

One of the suspects is described as black, with a thin build, about 19 to 25 years old and about 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall. The other suspect is described as black, with a heavier build, about 19 to 25 years old, and 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall.
