Two Gunshot Incidents Reported Near Mount Vernon
BREAKING: Police are investigating whether the reports are related to a shooting that happened nearby on April 6.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Fairfax County police are investigating two reports of gunshots that happened over the weekend at the 7900 block of Audubon Avenue.
Both incidents were near apartment buildings. The first incident occurred between 12:10 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, where bullets struck a glass apartment door and at least five cars. In the second incident at 11:40 on Sunday, April 9, several gunshots were heard in a different apartment building. No one was injured in either incident.

On both nights, police checked the area but did not locate any suspects. Detectives are investigating whether the incidents are related to an April 6 shooting that injured an 18-year-old man. Fairfax Police said the shooting at the 7900 block of Janna Avenue appeared not to be a random incident.
