Two Robbers Assault Man on Route 1: Police

Both suspects are at large following the heist early Friday, say Fairfax County police.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Fairfax County police are looking for two men who robbed another man early Friday as he was walking home near Route 1, according to a police report.

The incident occurred at around 1:50 a.m. in the 7100 block of Richmond Highway (Route 1), the police said. The two men approached the victim, assaulted him, took his money and fled.

The first suspect was described by police as black, 40 to 45 years old, about 6 feet tall, with a stocky build and having a light beard. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and baggy blue jeans.

The second individual was described as white or Hispanic, 30 to 35 years old, and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a light brown jacket and gray hooded sweatshirt.
