A small group of church-goers joined the Rev. Dr. Debra W. Haffner of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reston Saturday morning to dedicate a new Black Lives Matter banner and a rainbow flag, replacing ones that had been vandalized and stolen earlier in the year.

Gun Ban On County-Operated Property Goes To Board

Tuesday's Board of Supervisors meeting will include consideration of banning guns on Fairfax County-owned or operated property. If approved, the possession, carrying and transportation of guns, ammunition or components will be banned in specified places.

Concert To Benefit 5-Year-Old Who Lost His Mother

Family members will host a benefit concert Sept. 27 at Sinistral Brewing Co. in Manassas to raise money for a local 5-year-old boy whose mother died suddenly last month.

U.S. News & World Report on Monday remained steadfast with the release of its 2021 edition of Best U.S. Colleges, a list that includes more than 40 schools in Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Top Days When Symptoms Began For Virginia Coronavirus Cases

The Virginia Department of Health reported 1,300 new coronavirus cases on Saturday and 874 on Sunday. The cumulative case total is up to 133,814, while deaths stand at 2,724 and hospitalizations are at 10,244.
