DWI Checkpoint To Happen Labor Day Weekend

Expect increased police officers targeting drunken drivers through Labor Day weekend. Statewide, 94 checkpoints and 612 saturation patrols will be done through Labor Day, Sept. 3. Police will be conduct a DWI checkpoint in the McLean area on Sept. 1.

$14.25 Million Settlement Reached Over 'Voyeur Rabbi': Report

Four Jewish organizations have reached a $14.25 million settlement with victims of an Orthodox rabbi who admitted to spying on women in a ritual bath, according to a report.

Sonic Drive-In Opening In Manassas: Report

A Sonic Drive-In restaurant apparently is coming to Manassas, according to a report in the Prince William Times. Officials at the Prince William County planning office confirmed that a permit application for Sonic was filed this week for a former Burger King outlet.

As School Begins, Teens Killed In Crashes Not Forgotten

As students headed back to school, two couldn't be there to reunite with their fellow classmates after dying in crashes over the summer. If nothing else, officials hope the tragedies will serve as a reminder for teens to practice safe driving habits going into the school year.
