Good day, people of Norfolk! It's me again, Sean Peek, your host of the Norfolk Daily.

Here are the top 3 stories in Norfolk today:

  1. Norfolk's Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children is actively seeking volunteers. According to the organization, children with a special advocate are more likely to be adopted, half as likely to re-enter foster care, and significantly less likely to be involved in long-term foster care. CASA is holding an information session on Tuesday, Feb. 22 to provide information to the public on how to get involved with this essential program. (13newsnow.com WVEC)
  2. A Norfolk man has been sentenced to 63 years in prison in connection to a 2019 shooting that occurred in front of Vibes Restaurant and Lounge. Corey Anderson, 33, pleaded guilty to two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony, malicious wounding, aggravated malicious wounding, and unlawful wounding. Anderson shot his rifle injuring three victims who were taken to a local hospital with both non-life-threatening and life-threatening wounds. (WAVY.com)
