A Loudoun County judge refused to drop charges against actress Rose McGowan for cocaine possession, according to reports. The cocaine was allegedly found in her wallet at the Dulles International Airport; McGowan's attorneys say agents of disgraced media mogul Harvey Weinstein may have planted the cocaine to discredit her as she accuses him of sexual assault.
Dog Rescued From Hot Vehicle: Police
A dog was rescued after being left inside a locked vehicle with the internal temperature measured at 127 degrees Friday, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Authorities later found the owner in a nearby store.

Herndon has its own "Tomb of the Unknown Soldier" of sorts, located not too far from the entrance of the Town cemetery, Chestnut Grove. In the gravesite lay two soldiers from the Civil War.
