• Hampton Roads school divisions continue to seek bus drivers (wtkr.com) — Portsmouth Public Schools are heading into the new year still short about 10 bus drivers, alongside similar shortages in Virginia Beach, Hampton, and especially Newport News. Districts are adjusting routes, cutting some stops, and recruiting year-round to keep buses running. Families in Portsmouth may see longer rides or changed stops as divisions juggle limited staff.

- I went to Newport News yesterday to do a little birdwatching.
