WEST HARTFORD, CT — Those driving around the capital region of Connecticut will find the latest Hidden gem tucked into the middle of a small plaza on Farmington Avenue in West Hartford, a short distance from the Hartford line.

There, at No. 765, sits Aby's Bakery and Confectionery. Aby's might be small in terms of size, but the shop makes the eyes grow big and the nose get active.

Aby's has received praise on several review sites for its friendly, bi-lingual staff and variety of traditional and authentic ethnic baked goods.

There is an "unofficial page" for Aby's Bakery floating around Facebook that seems dedicated to paying homage to the offerings.

One went out to the masses and might be the most creative (and honest):

"Mi gente ... Put on my workout clothes before going to Aby's Bakery just to give the impression I earned these churros."

Another was also very specific:

"So, what are you having there today? A delicious Argentinian pastry, perhaps?"
