Big Majority Approve DOGE-Plus Political Cartoons to Muse and Amuse
It has been too long since yours truly shared some political cartoons. My apologies and this post will correct that error, with a hat tip.
According to Oxford Languages the term "hat tip" is: "used as an acknowledgement that someone has brought a piece of information to the writer's attention, or provided the inspiration for a piece of writing." As millions now know, former Secret Service agent, podcaster, talk radio show host, author, and MAGA firebrand Dan Bongino is heading to the FBI as its deputy director. Kash Patel is already the new FBI director. To understand that these are both big deals, just look at headlines about each of those gents from left-wing media sources. Have you ever been through a multi-year IRS audit? Yours truly and my wife have. In communist, socialist, or authoritarian governments, the people fear their leaders and the bureaucracy. That is not how it is supposed to be in the U.S.A. For over a century, We the People have tolerated a subtle deception that the income tax – which was supposed to be a ‘tax the rich’ scheme deployed by racist Democrat President Woodrow Wilson – has instead largely taxed much of the middle class. Billions of man-hours are wasted every year on the filling out tax forms and reporting. President Donald J. Trump (R) has spoken before and since his election about ending the IRS and replacing it with tariffs and the “External Revenue Service.” As a multiple award-winning history lover, count me in.

Oh, by the way. Praise God and with a hat tip to our Taxpayer Advocate, after years of battling the IRS in that multi-year audit, they agreed that we didn’t owe them a single dime. Nada. Zilch. Sometimes, citizens can and do win. But we don’t win by rolling over and playing dead. To truly be the land of the free and the home of the brave we must be able and willing to stand up and speak out in our own borders and on our own land. The winds of change are blowing in the U.S.A and beyond. With the right mix of prayer and proper effort, what the ancients called "Ora et Labora," we just might get America the Beautiful. According to the Presidency Project at this link here are the following recent polling results.
A new poll by Harvard CAPS-Harris reveals the majority of the country backs President Donald J. Trump and his actions to bring much-needed reforms that are making America great again.
Americans overwhelmingly support President Trump's agenda.
- 81% support deporting criminal illegal immigrants.
- 76% support a "full-scale effort to find and eliminate fraud and waste in government."
- 76% support closing the border with additional security and policies.
- 69% support keeping men out of women's sports.
- 68% support government declaring there are only two genders.
- 65% support ending race-based hiring in government.
- 63% support "freezing and re-evaluating all foreign aid expenditures and the department that handled them."
- 61% support reciprocal tariffs.
- 60% support direct U.S. negotiations with Russia to end the war in Ukraine.
- 59% support cutting government spending already approved by Congress.
- 57% support ending the ban on new offshore drilling.
- Most Americans approve of President Trump's job performance — including pluralities of men, women, independents, and Americans who live in urban, suburban, and rural areas — while almost six-in-ten say he's doing a better job than President Biden.
- Almost half of the U.S. economy is "strong" under President Trump — the highest number since 2021 — while a plurality say his policies will make them "financially better off."
- Americans are optimistic about the direction of the country, with those who say we're on the right track up 14 points over last month.
- Americans strongly President Trump's effort to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in government.
- 77% support a "full examination of all government expenditures."
- 72% agree there should be a government agency "focused on efficiency."
- 70% say government is "filled with waste, fraud, and inefficiency."
- Two-thirds say Congress should join the "effort to reduce government expenditures."
- 60% believe the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is "helping make major cuts in government expenditures."
- Americans back President Trump's action to protect American workers.
- 61% support reciprocal tariffs.
- 57% say tariffs are an "effective foreign and economic policy tool."
- 54% say tariffs will help get "concessions from other countries."
- President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and Attorney General Pam Bondi all enjoy net positive favorability.
In a nation dominated for decades by left-leaning media and left-leaning big tech, the above is almost a miracle.

Back to the polls. When even large numbers of Democrats are saying that DOGE will save taxpayers money, that is a potentially important shift. First time reader of one of my columns on this Patch ? You should know I'm a baker's dozen of years political Florida independent.

'76% of Americans favor DOGE' in a new survey of registered voters from Napolitan News Service. While millions of Americans tune out government news much of the time when it isn't campaign season, most Americans are interested in, supportive of, and are reportedly following DOGE.
