In a post on X by Hans Mahncke he said that Dan "Bongino is part of the Russiagate corner—he knows this stuff from our side of the fence. No classified briefings, no peeking under redactions—just the hard grind of piecing it all together. Now he’s a co-keeper of the holy grail and we’re about to see it all. It’s all coming out." Online personality Benny Johnson posted this as a "THROWBACK: Newly appointed Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino going full savage calling to axe every last fed involved in the Mar-a-Lago raid:

“If you took part in this, I don't care who you are… the next president should and fire every person involved in this.”"

'America just got a huge upgrade': Dan Bongino named deputy director of the FBI

Trump calls former Secret Service agent 'a man of incredible love and passion for our Country'

Dan Bongino, a popular broadcaster who was formerly an agent for the United States Secret Service, has just been named deputy director of the FBI.

President Donald Trump announced the news Sunday night on Truth Social, saying: "Great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice! Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love and passion for our Country, has just been named the next DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE FBI, by the man who will be the best ever Director, Kash Patel.

"Dan has a Masters Degree in Psychology from C.U.N.Y., and an MBA from Penn State. He was a member of the New York Police Department (New York's Finest!), a highly respected Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, and is now one of the most successful Podcasters in the Country, something he is willing and prepared to give up in order to serve.

"Working with our great new United States Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and Director Patel, Fairness, Justice, Law and Order will be brought back to America, and quickly. Congratulations Dan!"

In a follow-up message, Trump added: "Another aspect of the life of Dan Bongino that I think is very important. He has a great wife, Paula, and two wonderful daughters who truly love their dad. What an incredible job Dan will do!!!"

"This is incredible news!" said Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA. "Thank you @dbongino for the sacrifice I know this is in service to our country. America just got a huge upgrade."

As WND reported last July after an assassination attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, Bongino called failure of the Secret Service to protect Trump "absolutely catastrophic," and urged Kim Cheatle, the agency's director to resign immediately.

Appearing on "Fox & Friends," Bongino also said there's only "one entity" that rescued Trump from a certain assassination in Butler, Pennsylvania, and that's Trump himself.

"There's only one entity out there that saved Donald Trump's life yesterday and it pains me to tell you guys this, you know who that is? It's Donald Trump," Bongino explained.

"If he moves his head an inch to the left or right, guys, this is a really different show today. I mean, this is – it's bad enough we have to do this show about this topic. Can you imagine what would have happened if Donald Trump did not duck?

"Looking at the stage there, I'm speculating but I'm pretty sure based experience that the bunting around the front of the stage is probably armor. Donald Trump knew to duck. Most people would. He saved his own life. That's just a fact.

"The evacuation did not go right. I mean the rule of the Secret Service is cover the protected and evacuate. The other rule is maximum to the protectee, minimum to the problem. Why minimum t the problem? Because you don't know that's the only problem. It could be a distraction. There could be another person in the crowd. If the you don't jump on the protectee, you could be looking at multiple shooters. So at least that part the guys stepped up there.

"But the failure here is absolutely catastrophic and I've got to tell you, the secret service should be very careful. I can tell you and absolutely confirm from the horse's mouth, from multiple people, not just one, and I saw congresswoman Waltz text this out before on X, there have been repeated requests to increase the security footprint around not just the residences of Donald Trump but the body itself and they have been rebuffed. I can tell you actual quotes.

"The Secret Service director's completely failed and candidly should resign today. Kim Cheatle has failed Donald Trump and has failed Joe Biden too. He's the president right now. Where's the DHS secretary? You're blaming it on manpower. We're a $4 trillion United States government and we can't fork over enough money to keep our people alive and you're sending out tweets, this is the best technology we have? Really. To let a sniper 150 yards away from the potential next president shoot a piece of his ear off? That's the victory lap? Give me a break, man."
