Convicted Murderer Posts Selfie On Instagram From Prison

The Georgia Department of Corrections is investigating how a convicted double murderer was able to post a selfie onto a popular social media app from one of its facilities. Jeffrey Andrew Hazelwood, who is serving a life sentence in the August 2016 murders of Natalie Henderson and Carter Davis, appeared to have snapped the photo of himself and uploaded the picture onto Instagram, Gwendolyn Hogan, spokesperson with the department confirmed to Patch.

R. Kelly Probe Called For Amid 'Sex Cult' Allegations

Fulton County Chairman John Eaves held an emergency news conference Friday morning to call for the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office to open a criminal investigation against singer R. Kelly. The move comes as critics are calling on county leaders to stop Kelly's concert at Atlanta's Wolf Creek Amphitheater on Aug. 25 amid explosive allegations that the superstar is running a "sex cult."

Ex-NFL Player Arrested For Douglasville Robbery

A former NFL defensive end who played in high school for state powerhouse Grayson was one of two men police say robbed an AT&T store in Douglasville on Wednesday. Quanterus Smith, 27, of a DeKalb County address, is charged with armed robbery, felony fleeing and eluding, theft by receiving and possession of a handgun during the commission of a felony.
