Ex-WBAL Duo Launch Podcast + Tex Mex Eatery, Bakery, Snowball Stand Closings: MD Business
A national chain Tex Mex restaurant has closed its doors, a bakery has shuttered 2 locations and a snowball stand won't reopen.
MARYLAND — A beloved snowball stand will not return to its popular parking lot location this summer, prompting an outcry from residents, while two former WBAL broadcasters are launching a podcast.
A national chain Tex Mex restaurant also closed its doors in after being bought out the auction block last summer. A Baltimore bakery plans to close both of its locations while a coffee shop has opened in Montgomery County with customer perks and a swag bag for Sunday's grand opening.

Waldo's Snowballs, a snowball stand, has been a fixture in the parking lot at Harford Mall in Bel Air since 2001. Its lease to remain at the mall's parking lot wasn't renewed for the summer of 2026. The mall property is undergoing a major redevelopment.

Veteran Baltimore broadcasters Yuripzy Morgan and Torrey Snow announced the political commentators will launch and co-host a weekly podcast, “Free Range Politics.” The podcast will include political commentary and discussion regarding vital national issues, as well as current events impacting communities across Maryland.
On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina has closed its doors after 18 years in Elkridge. The restaurant chain closed its only other Maryland location last year, which was in Towson.
Maillard Patisserie announced this week that both of its Baltimore locations will close this spring. The bakery, which has stores in Baltimore's Hampden and Hamilton neighborhoods, will close in early May.

An allergy conscious restaurant called Burtons Grill and Bar will be opening in Tollgate Plaza mid-April. Employees use color-coded kitchen tools to help avoid cross contamination.
