According to state records, enrollment across the Medford Public Schools during the 2017-18 school was 4,329 students. Medford has four elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools and an alternative school for grades 9-12.
What's new this year? Well, for starters, there's a new superintendent at the top of the school system for the first time in 23 years. Dr. Marice Edouard Vincent took over as superintendent this summer after Roy Belson retired and oversaw a shakeup of principals that started with Medford High School headmaster John Perella leaving for a job in Revere.
