Alleged Meth Dealer, Others Indicted In Merrimack County

Merrimack man indicted on criminal threat charges, Laconia habitual offender indicted, Pembroke, Penacook men indicted on theft charges.

CONCORD, NH — The following people were indicted recently in Merrimack County Superior Court.

Christopher J. Rowley, 28, lower right, of Cedar Lane in Merrimack, on two felony counts of criminal threatening. On Oct. 20, 2017, in Northfield, he allegedly sent a Facebook message to a woman stating that he knew where a man lived and would be coming with his “heat” stating, “let’s get it popping” along with a photo of a hand holding a handgun.

Christopher Smith, 46, upper left, of Concord, incarcerated at the time of the indictment, for sale of a substance represented to be a controlled drug-methamphetamine and three counts sale of a controlled drug-methamphetamine, all felonies. In September and October 2017, he allegedly worked in concert with William Butterworth to sell meth to a police officer on Hall Street, Iron Works Road, and Fisherville Road in Concord as well as King Street in Boscawen. Smith, according to the indictment, was out on bail on Aug. 14, 2017, out of Merrimack County Superior Court, for sale of a controlled drug at the time he was allegedly involved in the meth deals.

Thomas Sanborn, 28, of Stage Road in Sanbornton, for felony possession of a narcotic drug-fentanyl allegedly on Nov. 3, 2017, in Franklin.

Nicholas Santos, 27, upper middle, of Pembroke, incarcerated at the time of the indictment, for felony theft by unauthorized taking for allegedly grabbing cash while employees were servicing a self-checkout register on June 10, 2017, at Walmart in Hooksett.

Timothy Sargent, 36, upper right, of Union Avenue in Laconia, for habitual offender and two counts of possession of a controlled drug-cocaine, fentanyl/heroin, both felonies, allegedly on Nov. 17, 2017, on Route 3A in Bow.

William Stefanides, 61, of Lilac Street in Penacook, for felony theft by unauthorized taking. Between July 1, and Sept. 30, 2017, he allegedly obtained or exercised control over air conditioners, vacuums, and other merchandise at Sears on Loudon Road.
