3 Arrested After Reckless Driving Stop By Troopers: NHSP Roundup

William Butterworth Jr. allegedly drove 105 mph on I-93. Passengers Tyler Hoyt and David Austin were also arrested. Plus, other NHSP news.

CONCORD, NH — Three New Hampshire men were arrested last week after state police allegedly clocked the vehicle they were riding in driving 105 mph in a 65 zone, according to a press statement. Arrested on Oct. 31, 2017, were William Butterworth Jr., 33, of Pittsfield, for reckless operation, Tyler Hoyt, 23, center, of Northfield, on numerous warrants including for a parole violation, and David Austin, 21, of Loudon, for possession of prescription drugs without a prescription. At around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a trooper working from an aircraft with the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit reportedly saw a vehicle traveling “at an extremely high rate of speed” on I-93 South in Canterbury, according to Lt. Sean Haggerty of the NHSP.

The vehicle was tagged at 105 mph and the trooper in the air radioed down to ground units about the vehicle. The vehicle – a 1994 Saturn – was stopped and the driver identified as Butterworth. He was subsequently arrested.

Hoyt – a passenger – had active warrants so he was arrested and held. Austin – another passenger – was allegedly found in possession of drugs and he was arrested, too. Both Austin and Butterworth are due in court on Dec. 22.

Hoyt has been arrested a number of times, according to posts on Patch. Back in 2012, he was in Concord for unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle, possession of drugs, and possession of controlled drugs. A few weeks later, he was arrested again in Concord for charged with possession of controlled drugs, receiving stolen property, and default or breach of bail conditions. Hoyt was arrested at a Concord High School football game on warrants, resisting, and breach charges that year, too. In July 2014, he was arrested for prowling, two counts of resisting arrest or detention, a false report to law enforcement, and warrants on North Main Street in Concord. Last year, he was arrested for driving while intoxicated-drugs, driving after revocation or suspension, and resisting arrest or detention charges on Manchester Street. During that interaction, police alleged that Hoyt was completely flipping out, yelling, “I will find you and I will f------ kill you!”

Austin was recently indicted on two counts of possession of a controlled drug-methamphetamine, Alprazolam, and possession of a narcotic drug-Buprenorphine, all felonies, breach of bail, resisting arrest or detention, and possession of a controlled drug-marijuana after alleged incidents in Concord in March and July 2016. He was arrested for disorderly conduct in December 2013, simple assault in November 2013.

James Valiante, 35, of Linneus, ME, was arrested at 6:40 p.m. on Oct. 22, 2017, for possession of a controlled drug-methamphetamine and receiving stolen property – $1,001 to $1,500 on I-95 North near Exit 3 in Portsmouth.

Jade Marshall, 21, of Seabrook, was arrested at 11:56 p.m. on Oct. 21, 2017, for DUI. He was arrested on I-95 South in Hampton.

Glenn Gross, 53, of Lyman, ME, was arrested at 9:07 p.m. on Oct. 21, 2017, for hindering apprehension and prosecution on I-95 North in Portsmouth.

Rajesh Jathar, 49, of Portsmouth, was arrested at 2:31 a.m. on Oct. 21, 2017, for DUI and open container on the Route 1 Bypass in Portsmouth.

Thomas George, 25, of Newmarket, was arrested at 11:22 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2017, for DUI, lane control, and open container. He was arrested on Route 101 East in Stratham.

Jack Donovan, 23, of Carlisle, MA, was arrested at 8:03 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2017, for reckless operation. He was arrested on Route 101 West in Stratham.

Richard Leavitt, 60, of Mount Vernon, ME, was arrested at 9:02 a.m. on Oct. 20, 2017, for driving after revocation or suspension on I-95 South in North Hampton.

William Watson, 31, of Farmington, was arrested at 2:26 a.m. on Oct. 20, 2017, for DUI, breach of bail, and unregistered vehicle. He was arrested on Route 16 North.

Alexis Miller, 35, of West Roxbury, MA, was arrested at 12:52 a.m. on Oct. 20, 2017, for aggravated DUI, DUI – second or third, reckless operation, open container, and bribery – offer, etc., to public official after a stop on Route 101 in Exeter.

Ann Njubi, 21, of Lowell, MA, was arrested at 4 a.m. on Oct. 24, 2017, for reckless operation on I-93 South in Manchester.

Steven Gray, 20, of Dorchester, MA, was arrested at 2:10 p.m. on Oct. 23, 2017, for obstructing government administration on I-93 North in Londonderry.

Dylan Markievitz, 21, of Manchester, was arrested at 11:24 p.m. on Oct. 22, 2017, for receiving stolen property – $1,501+, transporting drugs in a motor vehicle, possession of controlled drugs, and eight counts of forgery. He was arrested on I-93 North in Windham.

Ralph Matthews, 39, of Billings, MT, was arrested at 9:25 a.m. on Oct. 22, 2017, for reckless operation. He was arrested after the Everett Turnpike North in Bedford.

Mark Yeskis, 45, of Concord, was arrested at 5 p.m. on Oct. 21, 2017, for DUI – adult greater than 0.08 and duty when approaching highway emergency on I-93 North in Hooksett.

Corina Olsen, 24, of Nashua, was arrested at 2 a.m. on Oct. 21, 2017, for aggravated DUI – 30+ mph on the Everett Turnpike South in Bedford.

Alex Turcotte, 24, of Merrimack, was arrested at 4:20 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2017, for driving after suspension and suspension of vehicle registration on the Everett Turnpike South in Bedford.

Zachary Gordon, 25, of Concord, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. on Oct. 24, 2017, for driving after revocation or suspension and suspension of vehicle registration on I-93 North near Exit 13 in Concord.

Mark Cogswell, 51, of Loudon, was arrested at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 24, 2017, on a bench warrant on North Village Road.

David Lowell, 57, of Raymond, was arrested at 5:35 p.m. on Oct. 21, 2017, for DUI and driving on a divided way/crossing a media on I-93 South in Concord.

William Bean, 21, of Londonderry, was arrested at 2:54 a.m. on Oct. 21, 2017, for DUI, conduct after an accident with property damage, misuse/failure to display plates, operating with a suspended or revoked license, and open container. He was arrested on I-93 North in Bow.

Sean Coleman, 20, of Cornwall, NY, was arrested at 1:36 a.m. on Oct. 20, 2017, for DUI. He was arrested on I-93 North in Bow.

Other NHSP Arrests

A Stevens, 35, of Bellows Falls, VT, was arrested at 8 p.m. on Oct. 25, 2017, for aggravated DUI – collision with serious injury, DUI – second or third, misuse/failure to display plates, sale of a controlled drug, possession of a controlled drug-cocaine, two counts of driving after revocation or suspension, disobeying an officer, reckless conduct, and resisting arrest or detention. He was arrested on Route 12 in Charlestown. Darryl Brown, 47, in Northwood, was arrested at 11:05 p.m. on Oct. 23, 2017, for DUI on Route 25 in Meredith.

Douglas Kinsman, 48, of Vernon, VT, was arrested at 8:40 p.m. on Oct. 22, 2017, for DUI, DUI – adult greater than 0.08, and open container. He was arrested on Route 9 in Keene.

Cameron Bellows, 19, of Spofford, was arrested at 12:22 a.m. on Oct. 22, 2017, for DUI, DUI – adult greater than 0.08, transportation of alcohol by a minor, and open container. He was arrested on Route 9 in Keene.

Fiona Odea, 18, of Natick, MA, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 21, 2017, for transporting alcohol by a minor. She was charged on I-93 North in Ashland.

Emily Sweet, 22, of Enfield, was arrested at 4:50 a.m. on Oct. 20, 2017, for DUI and reckless operation on Route 25A in Wentworth.
