Boat Explodes On Winnipesaukee, Motorcycle Crashes: State Police

CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol members were called to the Weirs on Lake Winnipesaukee in Laconia just before 4 p.m. Saturday for a report of a boat explosion. A Derry man operating the boat finished fueling on a dock then made multiple attempts to start the craft, at which point the boat exploded.

Six people on the boat jumped into the water and other boaters on the lake picked them up. Two other people pulled the boat from the dock and towed it into the lake, away from the fuel dock and other vessels.

The passengers with injuries were transported to Lakes Region General Hospital.

Motorcyclist crashes

A motorcyclist from Lancaster died after a crash on Interstate 93 south in New Hampton, according to State Police. Roland Leclerc, 66, was driving a Harley-Davidson when he veered off the road and down 30 feet into the median just after 12:30 p.m. July 25.

The initial investigation indicated that Leclerc was traveling southbound when he drifted off the highway and struck a guardrail.

Leclerc was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators believe that he suffered from a medical event which caused him to lost control of the motorcycle.

Alison Dodge, 31, of Epping, was arrested on July 11, 2019, on a DUI charge on Route 101 West in Brentwood.

Chase Rogers, 28, of Kittery, Maine, was arrested on July 9, on a DUI charge on North Hampton Road in Exeter.

Edward Bransky, 50, of Manchester, was arrested on DUI-second offense and DUI charges on Rochester Hill Road in Rochester on July 8.

Brooke Monteforte, 22, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, was arrested on July 7, on DUI and DUI-adult greater than 0.08 charges and a stop signs; yield signs violation. He was arrested on I-95 South in Portsmouth.

Steven Cooper, 54, of Las Vegas, Nevada, was arrested on July 6, on Route 101 East in Exeter on a DUI charge.

Zachary Chase, 44, of Epping, was arrested on a DUI charge on July 6, on I-95 North in Greenland.

Geanna Britton-Fisher, 19, of Raymond, was arrested on July 6, on unlawful possession/intoxication and transport alcohol by a minor on Route 101 East in Exeter.

Aaron Morton, 33, of Raymond, was arrested on July 6, on Route 101 West in Exeter on a DUI charge and an open container violation.

James Peters, 50, of Nashua, was arrested on July 5, on DUI-second offense, driving after revocation or suspension, and disobeying an officer charges on Route 101 West in Stratham.

Jean Duval, 65, of Manchester, was arrested on July 5, on a DUI charge on Route 101 West near Exit 3 in Candia.

Sean Gentile, 26, of Seabrook, was arrested on July 5, on a driving after revocation or suspension-subsequent charge at the BB gas station in Seabrook.

Laurie Robbins, 45, of Worcester, MA, was arrested on July 5, on aggravated DUI-30+ mph over and DUI on I-95 North in Hampton.

Brianne Walker, 27, of Seabrook, was arrested on July 5, on driving after revocation or suspension and suspension of vehicle registration on Route 107 at Spur Road in Seabrook.

Angelo Cabrera, 23, of Lawrence, MA, was arrested on a prior to requisition warrant on July 5, on Ashworth and Keefe in Hampton.

Caylie Barcellos, 23, of Hooksett, was arrested on July 5, on a DUI charge on Route 101 West in Candia.

Amanda Fowler, 35, of Kittery, ME, was arrested on July 5, on two counts of aggravated DUI-passenger under 16, DUI, DUI-adult greater than 0.08, endangering the welfare of a child, and operating without a valid license on Route 107 in Seabrook.

Ricardo Acevedo, 30, of Lawrence, MA, was arrested on a driving after revocation or suspension charge on I-93 North in Hooksett.

Daniel Martin, 53, of Warner, was arrested on July 7, on driving after revocation or suspension and operating without a valid license charges on I-89 South in Hopkinton.
