Lakes Region Chase Involving Felon Driver Leads To Arrest By New Hampshire State Police: Trooper Roundup

CONCORD, NH — A man from Belmont was arrested last month after a chase and crash in Laconia, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Around 11 p.m. on Jan. 23, a trooper attempted to stop a Hyundai Sonata for a motor vehicle violation in Laconia. When the driver, Andrew J. Decormier, 33, of Belmont, was accused of failing to stop, a chase ensued.

“Troopers followed the (Hyundai) through Laconia and Gilford before returning to Laconia, where the pursuit ended after the driver crashed into a telephone pole on Bowman Street,” a report stated. “During the pursuit, the driver struck Trooper (Thomas) Seager’s cruiser, causing minor damage.”

Decormier was arrested and charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, disobeying a police officer, and driving after being deemed a habitual offender charges as well as other motor vehicle violations. He also had a probation warrant. Decormier was held in the Belknap County Jail and was scheduled for arraignment on Jan. 26.

Decormier’s charges were boundover to superior court on Feb. 10. He is also accused of habitual offender, driving after revocation of suspension, and other charges and violations out of Laconia after an incident on Jan. 10. That case was boundover on Feb. 11.

According to superior court records, the warrant against Decormier was issued on Dec. 29, 2025, for failing to appear at a recovery court session after being convicted in August 2025 on habitual offender and disobeying an officer charges out of Hooksett from July 2024 and Belmont in August 2024. As part of the plea deal, other charges out of Gilmanton were nolle prossed.

Decormier is a felon due to forgery and stolen property convictions from July 2014, according to records.

Woman Gets Plea Deal On 3rd DUI Accusation

A woman from Newport with a lengthy criminal history escaped jail time on a plea deal after being arrested by state police, accused of her fourth driving under the influence charge.

Back in June 2025, Karen Diane Kalloch, 54, of Myrtle Street in Newport, was arrested on driving under the influence-third offense and speeding. A state trooper accused her in a complaint of driving on Interstate 89 north in New London “under the influence of a controlled drug, prescription drug, over the counter drug or any other substance natural or synthetic that impaired her ability to drive, or any combination thereof.” Kalloch was arraigned in July 2025 and pleaded not guilty. In October 2025, she reached an amended plea deal. Kalloch pleaded guilty to negligent driving, reduced from the DUI, while the speeding charge was nolle prossed. She was fined $620, half suspended, with a one-year good behavior requirement.

According to a court clerk review, Kalloch has been involved in more than 50 criminal, motor vehicle, and traffic violations since the mid-1990s. According to superior court records, Kalloch is a felon due to two convictions for prohibited acts in Concord from 1997. She was also convicted on an acts prohibited charge in December 2003 out of Pembroke. Kalloch was also convicted on habitual offender in Boscawen in 2009 and acts prohibited in 2016 in Allenstown and Concord. She was initially accused of selling cocaine in October and November 2014 in Allenstown. Kalloch violated probation on the Concord charge in February 2018.
