Corey D. McKay, 41, of North Main Street in Concord was arrested at 12:34 p.m. on Oct. 2 on criminal trespass and resisting arrest or detention charges as well as a warrant. An officer was at The Friendly Kitchen on South Commercial Street looking for a missing woman. While there, an employee at the food kitchen told the officer that McKay had been trespassed from the facility but was in a vehicle in the parking lot. The officer was familiar with McKay due to past encounters. She spoke to McKay about being trespassed from the facility and according to an affidavit, he admitted to knowing he was not allowed there. "Corey stated he remembered (being) served but that it was ridiculous that it was not an arrestable offense," the report said. After McKay was accused of telling the officer she needed a warrant to arrest him and walking away, she corrected him and told him to stop. "Corey continued to walk away," she alleged. The officer followed him and attempted to arrest him but he "started to scream telling me to let him go," she said. Others at the food kitchen told McKay to stop struggling, the report noted, and he eventually did. McKay was charged and held without bail. McKay was convicted on a felony theft charge in Merrimack County Superior Court on Oct. 5 and was sentenced to five days in jail, time served. He was also previously convicted on drug, theft, breach of bail, and receiving stolen property charges.
