No Bail for Suspect in Beating Death of Nashua Man
Authorities said Thomas Smith assaulted Craig Guillemette Nov. 29, 2014.

A Massachusetts man was held without bail in the murder of a Nashua man in November 2014.
Thomas Smith, 32, of Lowell, Mass., was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree murder.
Police said he beat Craig Guillemette, 46, downtown on Nov. 29, 2014 and threw him down a flight of stairs. Guillemette was later found in an apartment on Lowell Street. He was hospitalized and pronounced dead a few days later.

Before the beating, Guillemette was walking near the city’s annual Winter Holiday Stroll, police said.
Smith was ordered held without bail during his arraignment Tuesday. He’s scheduled to appear back in court later this month.
