Four Arrested at Portsmouth Sobriety Checkpoint

NHSP: More than 400 vehicles were stopped and screened on the Spaulding Turnpike last night.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Four people were arrested last night in the city of Portsmouth after New Hampshire State Police screened vehicles during a sobriety checkpoint, according to a press statement. Arrested on Aug. 12, 2016, were Nicolas Hogan, 25, of Rochester, Thomas Obrey, 46, of Barrington, and Tracey Carigan, 45, of Farmington, all on driving while intoxicated charges. Also arrested was Ethan Chierepko, 19, of Dover, for possession of a controlled drug and transportation of alcohol by a minor.

According to Lt. Christopher Vetter of the New Hampshire State Police, 401 vehicles were stopped and screened during the checkpoint. The three charged with DWI will be in Portsmouth District Court on Aug. 22. ALSO READ:
