School Whistleblower Lawsuit; Engineer Named MUA Director; NASA-Bound Teacher: Brick Patch June Review
Also, woman charged with DWI after sideswiping a trooper, man admits robbing 8 banks, Christie's school funding plan and more headlines.

If you've been following the saga of the Brick Township School District since the arrest of superintendent Walter Uszenski in May 2015 on official misconduct charges, the case took an interesting turn in early June, when it was revealed that a staff member had filed a lawsuit against the district and several administrators, including Uszenski.
Laurena Staub's lawsuit -- filed in late April -- claims a patter of retaliation by the district after she refused, in 2013, to sign off on special services for a student who she says did not need them. That escalated to Staub being suspended by the board last November, in a move her lawsuit claims was in retaliation for speaking to detectives investigating the case against Uszenski.
The filing of the lawsuit was just one of a number of headlines in Brick on the Patch in June. A crackdown on dangerous driving on Route 528, beach access and a resolution on the Army Corps of Engineers beach replenishment project and a Brick teacher who will spend a year at NASA were some of the other highlights this month.
