Hoboken's 'Cake Boss' Bakery Seeks A Social Media Coordinator. Maybe You?

Who wants to be an influencer? Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken, made famous by the "Cake Boss" TV show, needs a social media creator.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Some people only get to enjoy Carlo's Bakery by watching the "Cake Boss" reality show, set at the Hoboken bakeshop and the Jersey City warehouse. But one lucky person will get to tout the shop on TikTok and Twitter as part of their full-time job.

The chain of bakeshops, which began growing after the reality show debuted on TLC in 2009, began advertising Thursday to hire a social media content creator.

According to the job ad, "The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a range of marketing functions, including content creation/social media, content calendar management, communications, digital marketing, and ecommerce."

The job ad doesn't say. But it does mention this:

  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Experience with research using data analytics software
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Passion for staying current on social media tends and new social media engagement opportunities.

The responsibilities include creating weekly content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter. And the pay is $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
