There was a bright side despite the continued retail apocalypse. And it's not every year that a nuclear plant is sold.

Business news was mixed in the Hudson Valley in 2019. There was some good news, but much of the business news involved the retail apocalypse, as stores continued closing in shopping centers and strip malls. On the bright side, a major motion picture studio will open, a popular grocery chain started hiring and a hot dog seller celebrated 100 years of feeding Hudson Valley residents and visitors its signature product.
