Schooly McSchoolface? Residents Vote On J.E.B. Stuart Renaming

Community members are helping to rename Fairfax County's J.E.B. Stuart High School, and some of their suggestions have been interesting, to say the least. Residents could pick from presidents like Barack Obama and Dwight Eisenhower and civil rights heroes like Harriet Tubman and Malala Yousafzai. Others seemed to take a jab at the school system's intent to rename the school. "Schooly McSchoolface," Harambe and "Triggered Snowflake" managed to rack up a few votes.

Three men are being held without bond after abducting and assaulting a female acquaintance at gunpoint late Thursday night in the Route 17 commuter lot, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. The assault was thwarted by a deputy patrolling the lot.

Police have arrested a Reston man on several charges after they say a homeowner who was locking up his house at 3 a.m. suddenly found a stranger in his kitchen.

10 Residents Displaced, Dog Killed, In Northwest Washington Fire

Ten residents in Northwest Washington were displaced by a cooking fire early Monday afternoon, and a dog died in the blaze, DC Fire and EMS officials said. The accidental fire broke out on 4th and Kennedy Streets NW around noon.
