To Kingstowne Patch Readers And Contributors: Thank You
Kingstowne Patch just turned eight years old. Here's a look at how readers and contributor posts have helped us grow since then.

KINGSTOWNE, VA — Eight years ago on Sept. 14, 2010, Kingstowne Patch launched. It was the 20th Patch site to start up in Northern Virginia. Since then, it's combined with the Rose Hill Patch and is among 36 sites today. We've come a long way, and you're a big reason why.
In August alone, more than 29,000 people visited Kingstowne-Rose Hill Patch. That's incredible given the population of about 15,000 in Kingstowne alone. The figure — compiled and verified through Google Analytics — includes readers on desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile and our app, and our visitors often access Patch on several devices over the month.
While we know a lot of local visitors come to look for information on road closures, business news and crime reports, our visitors come from around the region. That's especially true when something like the major St. James sports and entertainment complex opening happens.
