The race annually features at least 30 world- and national-class runners and this year, the field broke the 12,000 mark. Amid most of the 12,000 are recreational runners and those in costumes. The bears, pictured warming up near the 4-mile mark, were no exception.

Andrew Colley won his first Manchester Road Race with a time of 21:09 on the rain-soaked 4.737-mile course. Colley, a 33-year-old from Blowing Rock, NC, overcame a gap of about 20 yards at the 4-mile mark to outlast Edwin Kurgat and Eduardo Herrera at the finish line with a time of 21:09. Herrera was second (21:15) and Kurgat was third (21:19).
