VERNON, CT — The latest trip to a Hidden Gem in Tolland and Hartford counties takes us about a mile off the Exit 66 Interstate-84 interchange, up a hill, past a vast array of community gardens and into the woods. There, in an isolated corner next to the Vernon Center Middle School campus, sits the Ecker Hill Disc Golf Course.

The course was completed in October 2014 and was designed by Jasin Bayer and Clayton Davidson. Ecker Hill has a permanent layout with 18 baskets and rubber tee pads along a mixed layout of wooded, open, hilly and flat fairways.
