Concord Double Murder Suspect Brought To New Hampshire, Waives Arraignment
Logan LeVar Clegg, a transient accused of killing Stephen and Djeswende Reid, was brought to the Granite State from Vermont to face charges.

CONCORD, NH — A homeless man accused of killing a retired couple in April in Concord waived arraignment in superior court on Wednesday after being brought to New Hampshire from Vermont.
Logan LeVar Clegg, 26, who spent more than five months living in tents on the Broken Ground Trail System in East Concord before vanishing after the bodies of Stephen and Djeswende Reid were found killed, chose not to appear in Merrimack County Superior Court to face two second-degree murder charges. He did not request a bail hearing but, in paperwork, reserved his right to one at a later time.
Caroline Smith, a public defender also representing Adam Montgomery, a Manchester man recently arrested on murder charges, accused of killing his daughter Harmony Montgomery in 2019, has signed on to represent Clegg along with Mariana (Maya) Dominguez, another public defender.

Clegg is being held in preventative detention at the Merrimack County Jail. He was warned not to contact the Reid family directly, indirectly, or via a third party.
Clegg was brought to New Hampshire on Tuesday by Concord police after waiving extradition from Vermont last week. Concord detectives tracked him down in South Burlington, VT, after spending months investigating the murders. He was arrested at the city’s library on a fugitive warrant out of Utah from 2021.
