Hundreds Of Stolen Products Seized In Concord, Manchester Raids

Shaira Clarissa, Kyle Perkins, Christopher Hill are accused of buying the items from perps who then used money to feed their drug habits.

MANCHESTER, NH — Three people were arrested after police in Concord and Manchester raided three locations as part of a multi-community organized retail crime spree investigation. Yesterday, investigators from both communities served search warrants at the EZ Pawn and Apple Operation on South Willow Street in Manchester, the EZ Apple Repair on South Main Street in Concord, and a home on Hammond Street in Concord. During the raids, police found "thousands of dollars worth of stolen products" including "more than 400 new, boxed products" that were allegedly found in the Manchester store.

"Police believe merchandise was stolen from big box stores and sold to these stores," said Heather Hamel, the public information officer for the Manchester Police Department. "Police say there is a direct correlation between these crimes and the opioid crisis. Those who stole and sold the goods would then use the money they made to feed their drug habits."

Three people were arrested as part of the case: Shaira Clarissa, 34, of Concord, who was charged with felony organized retail crime enterprise and three counts of receiving stolen property; Kyle Perkins, 27, also of Concord, on felony organized retail crime enterprise; and Christopher Hill, 31, of Gilford, on felony organized retail crime enterprise and four counts of receiving stolen property.

According to Hamel, investigators believe Clarissa was the ringleader of the operation and Hill and Perkins were working for her, as employees, and they "were aware that the products were stolen but would then list and sell them online for a profit."

Clarissa, Hill, and Perkins are all expected to be arraigned on July 18, 2019, in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North.

Perkins, according to previous posts on Patch, has been arrested a number of times during the past few years based on what started as a stolen iPad case out of the Manchester School District in 2015. He made numerous attempts to have his conviction overturned after being sentenced to 12 months in prison with all but three months suspended. He has also previously been arrested on tampering with witnesses and informants involved as well as breach of bail charges. Hill has previously been arrested on theft charges in Concord, according to a post in 2016. He was arrested in Berwick, Maine, nearly two years ago on domestic violence-stalking and domestic violence-terrorizing charges.
