10 Arrested In NH Seacoast Sobriety Checkpoint

​A Salem, NH, woman as well as Somerville, Tewksbury, North Reading, and Attleboro residents were arrested on Route 1A in Seabrook.

SEABROOK, NH — New Hampshire State Police working with Seabrook and Hampton Police Departments as well as the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 10 people Friday night and Saturday morning, according to a press alert. Two were also taken into protective custody during the checkpoint which was held on Route 1A in Seabrook. Arrested during the checkpoint for driving while intoxicated were: (name removed); Sheila Metayer, 51, of Salem, NH; Dustin Mears, 27, of Newton, NH; Jason Dumont, 48, Newburyport, MA; Patrick Shankhour, 23, Tewksbury, MA; Margarita Manon, 29, Methuen, MA; Brent Allen, 59, Phillipston, MA; and Tiffany McCorry, 37, North Reading, MA.

Two residents of Attleboro, MA, were also arrested: William Preston, 32, was charged with disobeying a police officer while Crystal Cantone, 37, wasarrested for allowing an improper person to operate a motor vehicle. Everyone that was arrested is due in Seabrook District Court on Sept. 14.

According to Sgt. Jesse Sherrill of Troop A, 271 vehicles were stopped and screened during the checkpoint.
