Bedford, Exeter, Salem Win Bouts | North Beats South In Nashua | More: NH Wrestling Results, Part 2

Merrimack loses a tiebreaker while wrestlers Windham, Winnacunnet, Keene, and other schools finish up their regular season bouts.

HAMPTON, NH — The Winnacunnet Warriors faced off against the Exeter Blue Hawks in a dual on Thursday night, but came up short, with Exeter winning, 34-25.

In the 120-pound bout, Eli Jones of Exeter won by major decision, while Exeter’s Ryder Marchand won by fall. Winnacunnet’s Luke Andruskevish won by pin in the 138, while Oliver Perreault in the 144 won for Winnacunnet. Reid Campbell in the 150 for Winnacunnet won his bout, 5-2. Exeter’s Ryan Mikulsky won in the 157 by pin as did Juan Bueno of Exeter in the 165 and James Haney in the 175. Ryder Thurlow in the 190 for Winnacunnet won a major decision, 11-1, and Anthony Novais, also of Winnacunnet, won by pin in the 215.

There were double forfeits in the 106, 113, and 285 bouts. Exeter also won the 120 bout by forfeit.

Bedford Beats Keene, 45-30

The Bulldogs hosted the Black Hawks on Wednesday night and took the win.

Winning wrestlers for Bedford included Samuel Upham in the 126 by pin, Damien Kasem in the 138 by pin, Jack Bergeron in the 157 by fall, Gavin McConnell in the 190 by pin, and Will Riley in the 215, 6-3.

Bedford had three wins by forfeit, while Keene had two.

Merrimack Drops Tiebreaker To Kingswood

The Tomahawks tied Kingswood Regional, 30-30, on Wednesday but lost the tiebreaker by 2 wins.

Winning wrestlers for Merrimack included Owen Sayball in the 144 by pin and Cash Torres in the 157 by fall.

Merrimack won three bouts by forfeit, while Kingswood won one. Both teams took a double forfeit in the 106 and 165 weight categories.

North Beats South In Nashua, 42-40

The Battle of Gate City was held on Wednesday night with North edging South by 2 points.

In the 144, Tavyon Moore of North won by pin, as did Kayden Vallerand-Kenneally in the 157 and Jace Gallego in the 165. Benny Byrne for South, in the 175, won by fall. North’s Liam Collins won by fall in the 190. Logan Rice of South won by fall in the 215 as did Ian McCubrey of South in the 285 and Elijah Phillips in the 106. Robert Signor in the 126 for South won by major decision, 12-2. Sebastian Ochoa, wrestling in the 132 for North, won by pin, as did Caleb Smith of North in the 138.

South also won two bouts by forfeit, while North won one.

Salem Wins In Windham, 59-24

The Blue Devils battled with the Cougars on Wednesday and were able to post a solid win.

Winning wrestlers for Salem included Landon Middlemiss in the 106-pound bout by pin, Kallie Chandler in the 113 by tech fall, Maddox Boudreau in the 126 by pin, Carter Lemire in the 150 by pin, Micah Howard in the 157 by fall, John Vargas in the 165 by pin. For Windham, Brayden Sovereign won by fall in the 132, Liam McGrail won by pin in the 132, Henry Palmer won by fall in the 144, and Antonino Ciresi won by fall in the 215.

Salem also won four matches by forfeit.

Other Results

Mascenic beat Prospect Mountain, 48 to 24, on Wednesday.

White Mountains Regional beat Lebanon, 48-27, and Conant, 54-5.

ConVal, Franklin, and Winnisquam Regional competed on Thursday. Winnisquam beat ConVal, 59-21, and Franklin, 84-0. ConVal beat Franklin, 48-24.

Lebanon and Randolph Union competed on Friday, but scores were not available.

JV States is being held Saturday.

Salem High School is also hosting a quad between Manchester Central and Memorial, Milford, Trinity, and Salem.

Wrestlers from Alvirne, Bishop Guertin, Dover, Hollis Brookline, Keene, Merrimack, Oyster River, Pelham, Portsmouth, Raymond, Windham, and Winnisquam Regional High School will also compete in the Cavalier Classic at Hollis Brookline.
