Six Arrested in NH Seacoast Sobriety Checkpoint

State troopers, Hampton, Seabrook police checked hundreds of vehicles; residents from the Bay State, Rhode Island also arrested.

SEABROOK, NH — A sobriety checkpoint last night and this morning resulted in the arrest of five people for driving while intoxicated and another person for possession of drugs, according the New Hampshire State Police. Arrested during the DWI enforcement effort were: Robert Fichera, 60, of Seabrook; Ralph DeLong, 51, of Lowell, MA; Julio Abad, 50, of Chelmsford, MA; and Courtney Constantino, 33, of Wilmington, MA; all for driving while intoxicated. Patrick Polasek, 22, of Danville, was arrested for driving while intoxicated-second offense. Marios Kirios, 24, of Johnston, RI, was also arrested on a possession of drugs charge.

According to Lt. Christopher Vetter of the NHSP, 470 vehicles were checked along Route 1A in Seabrook. Troopers from Troop A as well as Hampton and Seabrook officers participated in the sobriety checkpoint.

NHSP held a sobriety checkpoint along the same road in July which resulted in 11 people getting arrested on charges, according to state police.
