11 Arrested In 2 Operation Granite Shield Efforts In Nashua

Along with Nashua police, Hudson officers and Hillsborough County sheriff's office employees assisted in arresting nearly a dozen people.

NASHUA, NH — Two recent Operation Granite Shield efforts, during the weeks of Jan. 30 and Feb. 13, resulted in 11 arrests, including two residents of Massachusetts.

During the first effort, four people were arrested:

Roy Taft, 55, of Merrimack Street in Nashua was charged with acts prohibited; sale of a controlled drug-heroin/fentanyl and acts prohibited; possession of a controlled drug-crack cocaine charges, both felonies.

Christopher Dixon, 29, of East Grove Street in Middleboro, Massachusetts, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute heroin/fentanyl charge, a felony.

Juan Santos Jr., 32, of Beech Street in Nashua was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, possession of property without a serial number, and operating after-subsequent offense charges as well as a violation of parole warrant and an electronic bench warrant.

Amber Mochrie, 37, of no fixed address, was arrested on an acts prohibited; possession of a controlled drug-crack cocaine charge, a felony.

Taft, Dixon, and Mochrie were released on personal recognizance pending future arraignments at the Hillsborough County Superior Court South. Santos was held pending a future arraignment.

During the week of Feb. 13, seven people were arrested:

Eric Higgins, 35, of Evergreen Street in Chelmsford, MA, was charged with acts prohibited; possession of a controlled drug-buprenorphine/naloxone and acts prohibited; possession of a controlled drug-amphetamine and dextroamphetamine mix, charges, both felonies, and an arrest warrant for simple assault issued by Hampton police.

Joseph King, 30, of Temple Street in Nashua was charged with acts prohibited; possession of a controlled drug-methamphetamine-subsequent offense and an arrest warrant for a fugitive from justice, a felony, on an original charge of armed robbery issued by the Cambridge MA Police Department.

Nearro Forbes, 38, also of Temple Street in Nashua was arrested on a theft charge.

Randy Widmer, 36, of Auburn Street in Nashua was charged with acts prohibited; possession of a controlled drug-heroin/fentanyl charge, a felony, and an electronic bench warrant for non-payment of fines.

Richard Higgins, 37, of Chestnut Street in Nashua was arrested on an electronic bench warrant for theft.

James Trebby, 37, of Shelley Drive in Hudson was arrested with stalking, criminal threatening, obstruction of government administration, and breach of bail conditions charges.

Robert Johansen, 39, of Shelley Drive in Hudson was charged with a single count of acts prohibited; possession of a controlled drug-trenbolone and three counts of felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, all felonies.

Eric Higgins was transferred to the Hampton Police Department for further processing, police said. King was taken to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections, while Trebby refused bail and was also taken to jail. Richard Higgins and Forbes were released on personal recognizance pending his future arraignment at the Ninth Circuit Nashua District Division Court. Widmer and Johansen were released on personal recognizance pending his future arraignment at the Hillsborough County Superior Court South.
