Police Are Hunting For NH Bank Robbery Suspect

Daryl Gurley – a career criminal involved in incidents in Concord, Londonderry, Nashua, Salem – is a suspect in the 2017 Derry incident.

DERRY, NH — Police in Derry are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a bank robbery suspect. Daryl G. Gurley Jr., 24, a homeless man with a previous criminal history all around the central and southern parts of New Hampshire, is wanted for the Dec. 23, 2017, robbery of the Santander Bank location on East Broadway in Derry. A warrant was issued for his arrest six days later, according to Capt. Vern Thomas of the Derry Police Department, but his whereabouts is unknown at this time.

“The suspect entered the bank and threatened the staff by stating he had a gun,” Thomas alleged. “He demanded and received cash before fleeing out the door onto East Broadway. Responding officers were unable to locate him at that time. No gun was shown during the robbery and no one was hurt during the incident.”

Gurley is 6 feet tall, weighs around 160 lbs., and has brown hair and blue eyes. He may have ungroomed facial hair. Police also stated that Gurley might be armed.

Gurley is known to frequent the greater Derry area as well as Nashua and Salem,” Thomas stated.

Anyone with information on Gurley’s whereabouts is asked to call Derry Police at 603-432-6111.

According to reports on Patch, Gurley has been involved in a number of crimes including burglary, theft by deception, criminal liability, felony possession of a controlled drugs-fentanyl, violation of a protective order, and warrants. Gurley was indicted last year in Rockingham County Superior Court on two felony counts of possession of controlled drug-Alprazolam, fentanyl as well as resisting arrest or detention. He was indicted in Merrimack County Superior Court in 2017 for felony theft by unauthorized taking.
