Miami firefighters rushed to a public housing complex to rescue HUD Secretary Ben Carson and his wife from a stalled elevator Wednesday morning, The Washington Times reports. The Housing and Urban Development Secretary and his wife, Candy, were taking a tour of the Courtside Family Apartments in Overtown when they got stuck inside an elevator for about 15 minutes shortly after 8 a.m.

Virginia Hospital Patient Safety Grades Released For 2017

How safe are Virginia's hospitals? New grades for patient safety released Wednesday by The Leapfrog Group ranked 70 Virginia hospitals as part of its spring 2017 safety grades. The hospitals were given a letter grade from A through F based on several factors. Of the Virginia hospitals that were graded, nearly half, 35 received an A.
