MARYLAND — During the Thanksgiving holiday, there were several fires reported around the region, from a three-alarm fire in Baltimore County to a turkey fryer blaze in Anne Arundel. Here is a roundup of those incidents and more top news from the week on Maryland Patches.

The number of residential fires on Thanksgiving is 2.3 times the average on any other day of the year, according to the U.S. Fire Administration, which said an average of 2,400 residential building fires are reported each year on Thanksgiving Day to fire departments across the country.

These fires were reported in our area on Thanksgiving. There was one deadly blaze the day before the holiday as well.
