MBTA Bus Crashes Into Medford Home And Several Vehicles

MEDFORD, MA — Transit and Medford Police are investigating an incident in which an MBTA bus crashed into multiple parked vehicles and the front yard of a home on Playstead Road.

The crash occurred on the morning of Sunday, March 8. The bus collided into the front steps of the two-and-a-half-story home owned by a 98-year-old resident on 43 Playstead Road and came to a stop just in front of her front window, according to a report from The Boston Globe.

Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan told Patch that the incident remains under investigation, and no further statements will be made until the investigation is complete.
