CONCORD, NH — A man from Warner was saved from a burning car with the assistance of Good Samaritans who stopped and help him after a crash on Interstate 89 on Sunday.

New Hampshire State Police as well as fire and rescue teams from Hopkinton and Warner were sent to a crash on I-89 around 11:30 a.m. The driver of 2013 Toyota Prius, Zachary Brock, 41, of Warner, “began experiencing a medical event” and crashed the car off to the left side of the highway, “striking the guardrail numerous times,” Amber Lagace, a public information officer for the New Hampshire State Police, said.

“As a result,” she said, “the operator lost control, veered to the right, driving off the road, striking an embankment where the vehicle rolled over and caught on fire. Brock was pulled from the fiery crash by numerous good Samaritans who had stopped prior to the New Hampshire State Police arriving on scene.”
