Homeless Man Punches, Screams at Woman: Log
Concord Police: Contoocook man charged with DWI and California woman arrested on Massachusetts fugitive warrant from 1999.

Benjamin M. Berry, 38, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 2:11 p.m. on Nov. 24, 2015, for simple assault, simple assault domestic violence, default or breach of bail conditions, and criminal trespass. Officers and a sergeant were sent to Storrs Street under the Loudon Road bridge for a report of a man striking a woman and the woman falling to the ground. The sergeant reportedly saw two people walking from the south side area of the New Hampshire Department of Transportation building and ordered them to stop. The individuals – Berry and a woman – were questioned about the situation and the woman initially stated that “nothing happened.” The woman later stated that they had been arguing but it never got physical. She reportedly started crying and stated, “He would never hit me.” She then stated, “He didn’t put his hands on me,” while turning to look at Berry. The officers tried to calm the woman down and noticed that she had a cut on her chin that was bleeding. Berry, who was arrested on Nov. 22, 2015, and told not to be on the grounds of the NH DOT building, was arrested for criminal trespass. As officers began to cuff him, “Berry then became verbally assaultive towards me, and claimed I was a ‘piece of shit’ and ‘had nothing better to do,’” according to the report. Berry later reportedly calmed down, and allowed himself to be handcuffed, and then allegedly turned and yelled at the woman, “F--- you, you f------ b----. You f----- did this!” the officer alleged. Berry was held without bail.

Bruce Manougian, 56, a homeless man now located in Stratham, was arrested at 1:38 p.m. on Nov. 21, on a warrant out of Dublin for criminal threatening and possession of marijuana. An officer was sent to Cimo’s South End Deli on South Street to meet with a party about a theft incident involving a Vermont cab driver. Manougian reportedly told the officer that he had taken a cab from Brattleboro, VT, to Concord, but the cabbie couldn’t find the McKenna House when they arrived in Concord. He then went inside the deli to get directions and when he came out, the cabbie had taken his belongings out of the cab and left. Dispatch contacted the cab company becomes there was still luggage left in the cab, according to the report. A check by dispatch though yielded the active warrant against Manougian and he was arrested. Concord Police met Dublin Police in Hillsboro later that day.

Samuel Donlon, 42, of Amesbury Road in Contoocook, was arrested at 12:43 a.m. on Nov. 15, for driving while intoxicated. An officer on I-93 south pulled over a vehicle for reportedly “swaying,” making a wide turn while driving, and driving without headlights on. “While speaking with Donlon, I smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath,” the officer alleged. “Donlon had slurred speech and seemed nervous while I was speaking with him.” After speaking some more about what he and a passenger had been doing earlier in the evening as well as performing a field sobriety test, he was arrested. Jennifer M. Kubacki, 31, of Wildflower Drive in Concord, was arrested at 5:52 p.m. on Nov. 6, on a bench warrant. An officer was sent to the Cumberland Farms on Fisherville Road at around 5 p.m. for a report of a woman, possibly on drugs, running in the middle of the street. The officer spoke to a store clerk who revealed a description of the woman and stated she later rode away on a bicycle. The officer caught up with the woman – who reportedly identified herself with a false name – and stated that was in the middle of the road attempting to flag down a bus driver because she missed the bus downtown. The bicycle didn’t have lights and the woman wasn’t wearing reflective clothing so the officer advised her to walk home with the bike and she was released from the scene. A sergeant later radioed the officer and requested that he go back, speak with the woman, and make sure that it was her bicycle. The officer went to the home and saw another woman sitting on the steps. When he asked to speak to the name the woman gave, the second woman said that she was that person. After some back and forth, the officer found out that Kubacki had used a relative’s name, checked with dispatch, and confirmed she had a warrant for nonappearance in Nashua District Court for a disorderly conduct charge, $500 cash bail. A few minutes later, the sergeant found Kubacki on North State Street and she was arrested and held.
