New York Teen Dies In Crescent Lake Boating Crash: New Hampshire State Police Roundup

CONCORD, NH — A teen from New York died after a boating accident on Crescent Lake in Wolfeboro Sunday.

Around 11 a.m., the marine patrol was sent to the lake for a report of a crash. When they arrived, they found two personal watercraft on a ramp, one with significant damage.

Officers investigated the incident and heard the crash occurred in the lake's northern end near Lake Wentworth's channel.

“It is suspected that the lead vessel slowed down and the second PWC collided with it from behind,” Amber Lagace, a public information officer with the state police, said. “Immediately after the crash, good Samaritans took the injured PWC operator aboard their boat, began CPR, and transported the teen to the boat ramp where they were met by emergency responders.”

Wolfeboro police and fire departments continued CPR efforts on shore, and then the teen was taken to Huggins Hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. The second operator was not injured, she said. Both teenage operators were from New York.

“The investigation is ongoing,” Lagace said, “however, drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor.”

Fatal Motorcycle Crash Investigated

State troopers believe excessive speed took the life of a motorcyclist after a fatal crash in Exeter Sunday.

Around 10:15 a.m., state police were sent to the westbound side of Route 101 for a report of a crash. Kiel Forgitano, 25, of Raymond, lost control of his motorcycle west of Exit 9 after veering off the roadway and striking a tree, Legace said.

“Witnesses stopped to assist and provide medical aid to Forgitano until he was transported to Exeter Hospital, where he succumbed to his injures a short time later,” she said.

The collision, analysis, and reconstruction unit was brought in to investigate the crash. Exeter police and fire and rescue teams assisted Troopers.

“The cause of this crash appears to be excessive speed,” Lagace said, “however, all aspects of this case remain under investigation.”

Eder Lucas Camargo, 36, of Framingham, MA, was arrested at 9:32 p.m. on July 13 on an operating without a valid license charge in Rochester.

Matthew D. Morrison, 39, of North Berwick, Maine, was arrested at 11:17 a.m. on July 13 on a reckless operation charge in Raymond.

Justin A. Casano, 42, of Sanbornville was arrested at 1:09 a.m. on July 12 on driving under the influence, conduct after an accident, and reckless operation charges. He was arrested after an incident in Rochester.

Fredy Pascual, 33, of Manchester was arrested at 9:43 p.m. on operating without a valid license charge and speeding-6 to 10 mph over the 65 limit in Londonderry. He was arrested again on breach of bail and operating without a valid license charges in Londonderry.

Claude E. Underwood, 37, of Manchester was arrested at 6:13 p.m. on July 14 on driving after revocation or suspension and speeding-16 to 20 mph over 65 limit charges in Windham.

Also in Windham at 9:24 a.m. on July 14, Shane M. Rooney, 44, of Dracut, MA, was arrested on reckless operation and disobeying an officer charges.

Kathryn Grace Caruso, 28, of Auburndale, MA, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. on July 13 on driving under the influence, reckless operation, and negligent driving charges, as well as a lane control violation, in Windham.

Don Howard Little, 39, of Concord was arrested at 12:52 a.m. on July 13 on operating after being certified as a habitual offender and possession of a controlled drug charges, both felonies, as well as transport drugs in a motor vehicle and suspension of vehicle registration charges and driver’s license prohibitions and tail lamp and reflectors violations. He was arrested after an incident in Manchester.

James M. Heath, 39, of Manchester was arrested at 6:52 p.m. on July 12 on driving after revocation or suspension and driving after revocation or suspension-subsequent charge after an incident in Manchester.

Shannon Racicot, 31, of Nashua was arrested at 9:59 p.m. on July 12 on driving after revocation or suspension, operating without a valid license, and driving without giving proof charges in Nashua.

Lisa M. Kangas, 46, of Newport was arrested at 11:38 p.m. on July 11 on aggravated driving under the influence-30+ mph, DUI, criminal mischief, resisting arrest or detention, disorderly conduct, and reckless operation charges as well as a lane control violation. She was arrested after an incident in Concord.

Colleen Ann Goddard, 52, of Andover, MA, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. on July 12 on a driving under the influence charge as well as open container and littering violations in Sanbornton.

Justin R. Bennett, 39, of Allenstown was arrested at 11:54 a.m. on July 11 on felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, driving under the influence, negligent driving, possession of a controlled drug, and transport drugs in a motor vehicle charges after an incident in Concord. Adam Michael Navarro, 30, of Barnstead was charged with disqualification; out-of-service orders at 6:04 p.m. on July 11. Advanced Excavating & Paving LLC of Allenstown was also cited.
