Knife-Wielding Serial Robber Hits Another Long Island Business

BOHEMIA, NY – A serial robber who continues to evade police struck again Wednesday night, this time hitting a Baskin-Robbins store in Suffolk County.

According to Suffolk Police, a man entered the Baskin-Robbins located at 4597 Sunrise Highway in Bohemia at about 8:55 p.m., displayed a knife and demanded cash. The employee complied with the man's demands and the man fled.

"This appears to be linked to five other robberies in Suffolk County and multiple robberies in Nassau County," a police spokesman told Patch.

For the second night in a row, a Suffolk Police helicopter searched for the robber, but he remains on the loose. Suffolk County Major Case Unit detectives are investigating.

The man has now struck 10 businesses in Nassau County and six in Suffolk since Feb. 15.

The Nassau and Suffolk police departments are each offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the man's arrest.
